Obituary for James Robert Buckley

James Robert “Bob” Buckley, 84

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – James Robert “Bob” Buckley, of Broadview Circle, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Calcutta Health Care Center. He was 84.

Born in East Liverpool, November 19, 1932, he was a son of the late Walter and Lulu Hilliard Buckley. He attended the First Free Methodist Church.

He worked at the former Crucible Steel Company until his retirement in 1982. He later worked at the family owned Fricano’s Market as well as his son’s business, the Butcher Block.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonina Marie “Antonette” Fricano Buckley. He was also preceded in death by nine sisters and brothers.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Debra Wolfe and her husband, Daniel; and James Buckley and his wife, Kristine, all of East Liverpool, as well as his grandchildren: Anna Wolfe Schwab and her husband, Michael; James Buckley II; Joel Wolfe and his wife, Jenelle; Jessica Buckley Rodriguez and her husband, Victor; Sarah Wolfe Carr and her husband, Shane; and Allison Wolfe Stansbury and her husband, Edward, along with 12 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister, Betty Schmitt of Rochester, New York.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Steve Forsythe will conduct a funeral service Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the First Free Methodist Church for fellowship.
