Obituary for Deborah Lee Bell (Pittenger)

Deborah Lee Pittenger Bell, 65, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in East Liverpool, October 4, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Jeannie Connor Pittenger. A member of the Wellsville High School Class of 1966, she then attended The Ohio State University and later graduated with Distinction from Kent State University. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish.

For 34 years, Debbie taught physical education at St. Aloysius School where she instructed countless children to dance as well as other activities. She was also a D.J. and photographer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her grandparents, Hugh and Bessie Connor, a brother, Charles Lee Pittenger, Jr., three uncles, and an aunt.

She leaves behind her aunt Marian Rea of Reynoldsburg, a special cousin Jeri Rea of Reynoldsburg, along with three cousins of Columbus. She will also be fondly remembered by her special friends, Patti Pickering, Amy Infanti, Karen Reed, Reggie Conlin, Heather Zernich and Rich Brookes.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Brad Call will conduct a service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship and continued remembrance.
