As a young teenager in the mid-'60's, Dave came into my life. He used to let my best friend, Kris, and I take out his red in/outboard motor ski boat along the Ohio River. I drove his blue Thunderbird car over a hill, where it was stopped, only when it landed upon a protruding sewer pipe and I had to get the car pulled back off the cliff by a tow truck attached somewhere around the rear bumper. (I never told Dave about that!) Ooops! He was like a Dad to me for many years and in many loving, caring ways. I was saddened when he left my/our life to pursue a more productive family situation of his own. I've thought about him throughout the nearly 5 decades (even reminiscing with gal-pals and family members). I wrote of his passing to my friend today who also enjoyed the fun water skiing along the River in Dave's boat back then. This is her direct response.: "I do remember him! He was about the only really good one! Add my condolences to the family." So, to all of Dave's family: Please know that, from so many of us who knew and loved him, long before you came to be... He was one of the finest men we've ever known. You have my deepest condolences in the loss of your beloved Dad, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Great, great grandfather AND friend. I send you my fondest regards and hope you SOON have Only glorious memories of such a delightfully kind and loving man. Victoria Sprague
