DUANE L. WILSON

Calcutta – Duane L. “Buck” Wilson, 82, of Bell School Road Calcutta died Sunday February 22, 2004 at 1:30 a.m. at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, of a brief illness.

Born in Calcutta, January 17, 1922, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Charles E. and Mabelle Robinson Wilson and was a lifetime area resident

Mr. Wilson was a retired heavy equipment operator from the former George Cindrich Construction Company of Midland, with over 40 years of service.

A veteran of World War II, he had served with the U.S. Army’s 260th Signal Construction Co. in Philippines and Pacific theater, from 1942 thru 1945.

A member of Madison Trinity Church, Mr. Wilson served as an Elder; he was also a member of American Legion Post 374.

His wife Louise Radeschi Wilson, whom he married in 1942, survives at home.

Also surviving are two daughters Mrs. John (Darlene) Addy, of Lexington, SC, and Mrs. Charles (Sherry) Green, of Columbiana. There are two sons Charles D. Wilson and his wife April, of East Liverpool, and Lee Wilson Jr. and his wife Scherry, of Elkton. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive him.

A grandson Steven Green preceeded him in death.

Services will be held on Wednesday February 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home with Revs. Rick Anderson and Rusty Newbold of Madison Trinity officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park where military honors will be provided by the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group.
