Obituary for John B. Martin

EAST LIVERPOOL – John B. Martin of Yeager Drive in Wellsville, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2017 at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy battle with liver cancer. He was 41.

Born in Youngstown on November 2, 1976, he was a son of the late David Martin and Rebecca Tatgenhorst Martin. A resident of this area all his life, he was a 1996 graduate of East Liverpool High School. John worked his whole life as an auto mechanic before becoming ill.

John was an animal lover, but especially enjoyed his three dogs. He also liked boating and spending time with his friends and family. He was also a member of the Glenmoor American Legion Post #736.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Buzzard Martin, whom he married on June 23, 2007.

John also leaves behind his wife’s parents, George and Norma Carnes, along with three brothers-in-law: Ronnie Buzzard, George Carnes, Jr., and Randy Carnes. There are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who were special to him.

A service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Weyand of the Avondale Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
