JOSEPHINE TRAINA JORDAN, 90

EAST LIVERPOOL – Lifetime area resident Josephine Traina “Jo” Jordan went to be with her Savior on Saturday morning, February 27, 2016 at home, in the presence of her family. She was 90.

Jo was a daughter of the late Alfonso and Josephine Marchese Traina, born in Dillonvale, Ohio on April 30, 1925. A graduate of Wellsville High School, she had worked at the Greyhound Bus Terminal, where she met her husband, Ralph E. Jordan, Sr., who died on April 17, 1989. She also worked at the Riverview Florist Shop at one time, and was well loved for her kindness to others and her great wit and love of humor.

An active and involved member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church, she was active in the Catholic Women’s Study Group, the 30 + 30 Group, and was a past officer of the East Liverpool Chapter of AARP. Jo was also an original member of the Empty Chair Group of the Dawson Funeral Home.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda Jordan, of Worcester, MA, her son, Ralph E. Jordan, Jr., and his wife Sherry, of East Liverpool, and his two sons, Christopher and Nickolas. There are also two great-granddaughters, Faith and Mckinna Jordan. Josephine is also survived by two sisters, Phyllis Mick, of East Liverpool and Rose Powell, of St. Charles, MO, and her brother, John Traina, of Wellsville.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Jenny Alfano and Anna Bucher. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Kay Jordan Fisher, of East Liverpool.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Fr. John Jerek will preside at Catholic Funeral Rites to be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
