Obituary for June May Cowart (Crooms)

June May Crooms Cowart, 85, passed away suddenly Monday morning, January 8, 2018 in the emergency room of East Liverpool City Hospital. A resident of East Liverpool, she will be greatly missed by her family and all those who loved her.

A daughter of the late George and Mayetta Dawson Crooms, June was born in Georgetown, Pennsylvania on June 29, 1932 and remained in this area the rest of her life. June retired after over 32 years of service in central supply at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon S. Cowart in 1993. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Williams Smith, five sisters and two brothers.

June is survived by a daughter, Deborah Williams Brown; and two sons, Bruce Cowart, and his wife Jocelyn, and Jeff Cowart, all of East Liverpool; and grandchildren whom she raised, Brian Humphrey, Alex Smith, Sara Smith and Zachary Williams.

There are eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

June’s family, with Pastor Andrew Monteiro, will conduct a Home Going Memorial Service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Greater Faith Family Worship Center, 2033 Midland Beaver Rd, Industry, PA 15052.
