Obituary

Norma Jean Pickens Webb of Canfield, Ohio died on November 4, 2019 following a long battle with cancer. She fought valiantly and did not want to give up. Life was precious to her.

She was born in East Liverpool on February 26, 1961 a daughter of the late Lewis and Rose (Buchheit) Pickens Fultz. Norma was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1979. She attended Kent State University and worked for 20+ years serving Mahoning County in the economic development area
helping individuals identify and apply for federal loans and grants. She began at EastGate Developments
and in recent years has been employed with the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Center.
Norma enjoyed working with her hands and created many beautiful arts and crafts over the years which
she shared with family and friends.

Left to cherish Norma’s memory are her son Austin Webb of Canfield; a sister Peggy (Tom) Charlton of
East Liverpool; a sister Diane (Rene’) Larriva of Lake Frederick, VA. Family was special to Norma and
each and every niece and nephew were held dear in her heart. In addition there are many great nieces and
nephews and Norma had many friends who became part of her extended family. Her nieces Christy
and Brenda provided much loving support to Norma during her time of need this past year especially going on the numerous trips to the Cleveland Clinic. Her pets Carlie, Sammy and Cuddles brought smiles to her life every day.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her brother Charles Pickens, a sister
Dorothy Payne, a nephew Kenny Payne and her step-father Homer Fultz.

Friends may visit Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 6 p.m. Pastor Ian Leyda of Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Knowing Norma will forever live on in everyones hearts and minds, it feels appropriate that a tree be planted to do the same in her honor.

As beautifully stated in a Hallmark card, "A bird may fly away, but we can still remember its song." May Norma be at peace. With love and prayers
