Memories of a dear friend

There are sooooo many stories i could tell----so many memories of our dear, precious friend,Taylor. But how can you sum them all up in a few sentences. Taylor has been a big part of the influence  in our family.  My children still refer to him as  one of the most godly men we have ever had in our lives. Art was saved under Bro. Taylor's preaching!! How precious is that. So many Sundays we'd be sitting in our seat at the tabernacle and I'd catch Taylor's  eye and soon he;d say "Art and Kathi are going to sing for us now"---and it didn't matter if I'd shake my head---he'd keep saying it---till we did!! The many times we've been in his home visiting---and he in ours.  Art was the first one to get him to taste a cup of postum-----what a face he made over that---and when Art asked him if he wanted more---the answer was a very  strong-"no, thanks"!!!!    So many times we's search him out for counseling in many areas of our lives----and Taylor was ALWAYS there----ready to help. What a godly man he was----and not only was he our pastor, he was our dear friend---so caring---just the warm feeling of being loved by him when you were there---or even, not there. We always knew he was there for not just us, but for everyone ---he was a 'people person" He loved people. What a great big hole he's going to leave---but Heaven will be richer because they have just received a true saint---a lover of Jesus--and he's now able to be with Corabelle and so many others---and walk the streets with his best friend--Jesus. I'm sure he's joyfully running and skipping and praising the Lord in his joyful way---he certainly did have a way of hopping up and down the aisles---waving  his hankie and shouting praises to his king--- you just wanted to go to Heaven because of his love and praise for God!!!!! We will always miss you, Taylor---and trust that soon we can be with you---someday soon. Watch for us----and know that we LOVE you and ALWAYS have. Thank you for being so important in our lives!!!!!!!!         Art and Kathi Halstead
