Obituary for Isaac F. Fieni

Isaac F. Fieni, of Center Township, formerly of Midland, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Falls following a lengthy illness. He was 87.

Born in Isola Del Gran Sasso, Italy, on November 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Frank and Luisa D'Amico Fieni. A Midland resident most of his life, he worked at the former Crucible Steel Company until his retirement in 1982 following 40 years of service. He was a member of the former Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and now St. Blaise Catholic Parish in Midland and most recently a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Center Township.

A veteran of WWII, he proudly served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific, being honorably discharged in 1946.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Viola "Vi" (Fiorello) Fieni; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Carmella Fieni; and his twin brother, Gino Fieni. Isaac and Vi were married on September 13, 1952 and they had three daughters: Vicki Williams and her husband Ken, of Midland; LouAnn D’Antonio and her husband, Daniel, of Center Township; and Angela Michalski, and her husband, William, of Bronx, New York.

He is also survived by six grandchildren: Meina (Marshall) Clarke; Gino (Nicole) Williams; Dana (Corey) Battles; Michael (Nicolette) D’Antonio; Maria D’Antonio; and Andrew Isaac Michalski; six great-grandchildren: Jasmine Clark; Marah Clark; Naudia Williams; Nicco Williams; Gia Williams and Lilly Battles; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews..

The family extends its most heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Robert Madder and Dr. Patrick Sturm and their staffs for the special care they gave our "Pap".

Family and friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening, October 3rd, at the Dawson Funeral Home, 215 West Fifth Street, East Liverpool, Ohio, where the family will be present from 3 to 8 p.m. Fr. Joseph J. Kleppner will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Church of Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool.

Private Interment will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
