Obituary for Jeffrey Earl Cope, Sr.

East Liverpool, Ohio- Jeffrey Earl Cope, Sr., 57, of Irish Ridge Road passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 5:37 p.m. at the residence of his daughter following a lengthy illness.

Born January 1, 1961 at East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Earl Park Cope and Barbara Cope Lawrence. A lifetime area resident, he worked at Marsh Belloframe in West Virginia for the past 28 years. Catholic by faith, he was an avid fisherman, loved to watch WWF Wrestling and he enjoyed Ghost Hunting with his friends from work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy May Cope, whom he married April 20, 1980, on February 26, 2014.

Survivors include his daughter, Tonya May Cain and her husband, Matthew of East Palestine, Ohio; two sons, Jason Jackson and his wife, Kim of Carrolton, Ohio, and Jeffrey Earl Cope, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Wellsville, Ohio; and eleven grandchildren.

There are two sisters, Sue Cheuvront and her husband, Bruce of Chester, West Virginia, and Tammy Wymer and her husband, Wayne of East Liverpool.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Theresa Jackson.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Fr. Robert Edwards of St. Patrick Catholic Church will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
